Welcome to Scootnic V! Here's a brief history of past Scootnic venues: I. Paint Creek II. Indian Lake III. Loveland IV. Kent / Geneva-On-The-Lake V. Columbus
Looking over the map, it looks like we will be coming right by the New North Market https://northmarket.org/location/bridge-park-market/ maybe we can stop there and pick up some extra food for the picnic?
Hey Scootnic folks, it's a beautiful day for a ride. A small group of folks are pre-riding the planned route today for the Scootnic ride on the 18th. Looking forward to Scootnic V Columbus!!
Hello everyone, I downloaded the Ride with GPS app to look at the route but I don't know where to find it. Is there a link or something for it? Thanks in advance, looking forward to riding the 18th .
Jackie O's is a brewery in Athens Ohio. They branched out to downtown Columbus last fall. They have a full offering beers, but no food if I remember right. The downtown Columbus location has two outdoor and two indoor areas.
Hi everyone. I’m planning to be there. Looking forward to meeting some new scooter riders. I’ll be coming in from Marysville. Bought a 2023 Vespa GTS 300 Super sport last August. Been having a lot of fun on it. Also started a YouTube channel if you’re interested and will probably get some footage of the ride. @TheFranticNomad if you’re interested.
Damon, we will be happy to have you join us for the 5th Scootnic this Saturday. We sometimes ride up near Marysville so you can share some of your favorite roads with us. GTS 300 is a nice ride! You can also join our Whatsapp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/C3LnuPmGf0yAidTss4crDQ
Thanks. I forgot to turn on reply notifications, so I missed these.
There are some decent backroads out of Marysville. I take those into Dublin sometimes to ride around. I ran over to Sweetwater Coffee and Tea the other day in Bridge Park. Any of you have the Vespa GTS 300 in black matte? There was one parked nearby.
I'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow after all unfortunately. I was looking forward to it, but found out a guy I used to coach little league with died this week. His son is also good friends with my son. The funeral is tomorrow.
You all have fun. If you do another ride sometime let me know and I'll try my best to join.
If anyone is interested in doing a ride tomorrow (Friday) late morning/early afternoon I am thinking of doing one weather dependent. Thinking between 25 and 50 miles. Join the WhatsApp group and I will post details there if people are interested.
Meet at Dairy Queen (920 High St, Worthington, OH 43085) at 7PM. We will do a 20-25 mile city ride and end at Derive Brewing (2808 N High St, Columbus, OH 43202) with the plan to be at Derive at 8PM. We will hang at Derive for drinks and food if anyone is hungry. Hope to see you there! Scootnic V is here!!
Heading to the funeral this am fell through. Going to try to catch up with you all on the ride soon. If you can post quickly when you hit a reservoir I’d appreciate it so I can try to catch you :).

Marysville is one of my favorite stopping points when riding. Nice coffee shop and Mexican restaurant. And, lots of great backroads.
